STAGE 1. First you understand the structure of the face, muscles and bones.
STAGE 2 A simple pastel portrait - developing our understanding of the cantons of the face and understanding how to draw features.
STAGE 3 An acrylic portrait trying to capture personality as well as likeness .
STAGE 4 A portrait in oils - trying to develop 'a style'
